When you use Gilded Artworks, we collect the following information:

• Account Information: Email address, name, and authentication credentials when you create an account.
• Gallery Profile: Gallery name, address, contact email, and artist information that you provide for document generation.
• Artwork Metadata: Title, artist, year, medium, dimensions, price, country of origin, and HS codes for your artworks.
• Artwork Images: Images you upload for inclusion in generated documents.
• Usage Data: Document types generated, feature usage, and session information.
• Payment Information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate and deliver your requested documents (brochures, customs sheets, certificates)
• Save your gallery profile and artwork library for future use
• Process subscription payments via Stripe
• Improve our document templates and platform features
• Send transactional emails related to your account and documents

3. Data Storage & Retention

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with encryption at rest and in transit. Retention periods vary by subscription tier:

• Essentials (Free): Artwork images are processed in memory and not stored beyond your session. Generated documents are available for download for 24 hours.
• Professional: Artwork library and generated documents are retained for 90 days.
• Gallery & Enterprise: Permanent archive storage for artwork data and generated documents.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Gilded Artworks:

• Supabase: Authentication, database, and file storage
• Stripe: Payment processing and subscription management
• EasyPost: Shipping rate comparison and label generation
• Vercel: Web application hosting and CDN

Each of these services maintains their own privacy policies and data handling practices.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Export: Download your artwork data in a standard format
• Portability: Transfer your data to another service

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (Supabase session tokens) and preference storage. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.

7. Data Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. Artwork images are processed using secure, isolated rendering pipelines. We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure and dependencies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
