How does HS code auto-classification work?
You enter the artwork medium — oil on canvas, bronze sculpture, limited-edition photograph — and the classifier maps it to the correct Harmonized System code, defaulting to Chapter 97 (works of art) where appropriate and flagging exceptions like art photographs (4911.91) or artistic ceramics (6913.10). You can always override the suggestion.
Are these documents accepted by UPS, FedEx, and DHL?
The sheets follow the technical-data conventions all three carriers expect for fine art: HS code, country of origin, declared value, materials, and dimensions. Your broker or carrier portal still completes the formal customs entry — these sheets give them everything they need without a phone call.
Can I document a multi-artwork shipment?
Yes. Add every artwork in the crate and you get an index sheet summarizing the shipment plus one technical sheet per artwork — the exact packet a customs broker asks for.
